Family business is the oldest type of trade organizations. In most countries, over 70 percent of the whole trading pertains to family business; furthermore, it plays a key role in the economic growth and job creation. The range of family business extends from small or mid-sized companies to major ones.

The presence of family members in the board of directors, the ownership percentage of the family members and their influence on the company are the factors by which a family-owned company is defined. In terms of the ownership percentage, the companies which include one or more people of one or two families owning at least fifty percent of the shares are considered to be family-owned Cos.

Having established companies such as textile industries of Bozorgmehr Bidgol (1995), Shahab-Farsh Bidgol (1999), Arshian-Baft industries (2003) and Gostaresh-o-Tosaeh Mahoor Bidgol Co (2005), Pourebrahimi brothers (with many years of experience and expertise in hand-made carpets) have been able to promote Iranian textile industry specifically in machine-made carpets.

All the Cos owned by Pourebrahimi brothers cover 65000 square meters of land, 25000 square meters of substructure and they also contain 80 various items of machinery: 9 weaving machines capable of weaving from 320-1500 reeds with the annual capacity of over 1 million square meters, 1 melt spinning machine with the annual capacity of 1500 tons, 3 yarn twisting machines and 1 heat-setting machine with the annual capacity of 1800 tons, 1 beaming machine with the annual capacity of 675 tons, 8 finishing machines with the annual capacity of over 1 million square meters and 57 other machinery and equipment items.

Due to the endless efforts of the managers and the employees (over 300 people involved), the development of the Cos manufacturing units has kept on constantly. And as a result, they have been able to create 9 agencies in countries as follows: China, Belgium, Albania, Austria, Germany, Iraq, Indonesia, Zambia and Pakistan from 2014 to 2021. Moreover, they have exported over 3.6 million square meters of national output (worth over 52 million dollars) to five continents and over forty countries
